About

Hello, and welcome to Managing Bipolar – a space created by someone who knows firsthand what it’s like to live with the unpredictable weather system that is bipolar disorder.

This blog isn’t a polished brochure or a clinical guide. It’s a personal project – a collection of real-world reflections, lessons learned (sometimes the hard way), and the kind of insights that only come from being in the thick of it. Some days I’m the eye of the storm; other days, I’m the storm itself. Either way, I’m here to talk about it.

You’ll find honest stories, gentle humour, and the occasional well-earned metaphor – all aimed at demystifying the condition, reducing stigma, and hopefully helping others feel less alone. Whether you’re living with bipolar, supporting someone who is, or just curious, I hope you’ll find something useful here – or at least something that rings true.

This blog also aims to speak to the people around us – friends, family, co-workers, and employers – because managing bipolar isn’t a solo act, and understanding helps everyone.

A Quick Note

I’m not a medical professional. Just someone with lived experience, a keyboard, and a desire to make the road a little less rocky for others.
